Senior Software Engineer, Scribe & Integrations | Remote

Olli Health is a Series A funded healthtech startup modernizing home healthcare with advanced AI tools, and we are growing. We're looking for a creative, low-ego, collaborative, startup-native engineer energized by challenging, nuanced problems with the potential to have a massive impact.

The Senior Software Engineer on Scribe & Integrations will work across two of our most product-driven surfaces: Scribe (our clinician-facing mobile app for documentation at the point of care) and our EHR integration layer (the data plumbing that connects Scribe and our coding platform to the EHRs home health agencies actually use day-to-day). This role is breadth-heavy by design: mobile, backend, and data work, all in service of solving real product and business problems for real clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Ship features end-to-end across the Scribe stack (React Native, Bun/Hono, PostgreSQL): design, requirements gathering, building, testing, deploying.
Partner closely with the integrations team to automate interactions with EHRs and our partner home health systems, working with both the pipelines and the messy realities of EHR data.
Work directly with our data pipelines: modify, debug, and extend them.
Take fuzzy product and business problems from customers and the team, and turn them into something shipped and observable.
Work directly with our customers and internal users to identify opportunities, sharpen workflows, and observe our work in daily use.
Help raise the technical bar across the Scribe codebase: testing, observability, mobile release hygiene.

Requirements:

React Native (required): 5+ years production experience shipping a React Native app, including the boring parts (navigation, state, native modules when needed, release pipelines). Strong TypeScript fluency.
Backend & databases: Comfortable building APIs and working with PostgreSQL or comparable databases. Experience with a modern Node-style backend (Hono, Express, Fastify, or similar) is a plus.
Strong fundamentals: Data structures, algorithms, database design, and API design. Fluent shipping across mobile, backend, and data layers.
Hands-on-keyboard senior: Prior experience shipping production software at a startup, with hands-on-keyboard coding chops and room to grow into startup leadership.
Healthcare-data grit: Strong SQL and the patience to dig into a pipeline, an integration, or a SQL query when a clinician's note didn't make it through. Thrives in the messy reality of healthcare data.
Breadth: Comfortable jumping between mobile UI, backend, and a data pipeline in the same day, and not precious about which layer the bug ends up in.
Startup mentality: An enjoyment of that early startup balance between efficiency, scalability, and shipping fast to meet customer needs.
Flexible problem solving: Equally interested in chasing a gnarly mobile bug, redesigning an integration, or building the report a customer asked for yesterday, and wise enough to know which is highest leverage in the moment.
Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available).

Desirable Skills (Bonuses):

Proven success in the Seed/Series A stage fast-paced startups.
Direct experience integrating with EHRs (Epic, Cerner, HCHB, MatrixCare, WellSky, etc.) or similar third-party clinical/legacy systems.
Experience with our stack: AWS, PostgreSQL, Bun, Hono, Drizzle, Expo/React Native, Dagster.
Comfort interacting with ML/NLP and LLM-native data engineering problems.
Experience building or operating data pipelines for analytics or ML-ready datasets.
Experience working with healthcare datasets (e.g. payer claims data, clinical notes, EHR charts, ICD-10 coding, etc.).
Experience building secure systems with HIPAA compliance as a core principle.
An appreciation for the challenges of building (and building with) LLMs and agentic systems (healthy skepticism a must).

Compensation Range: $160k - $190k annual FTE base comp + equity options
